- Shark Bay is situated mid-way along the 1250km Coral Coast Highway, connecting Perth and Exmouth, and is known for its unique composition of billions of tiny white shells.
- Shark Bay is also home to some of the oldest living organisms on Earth, found in Hamelin Pool, and other famous locations such as Francois Peron National Park, Dirk Hartog Island, and Monkey Mia.
- Shark Bay boasts the largest seagrass beds in the world, which are crucial for marine life, and is also home to approximately 10,000 Dugongs, which is 10% of the world’s population of this endangered species.
- Chrissy and the team embark on a perfect nature cruise, with 2 hours worth of sightseeing aboard the 18-metre Aristocat 2 with Perfect Nature Cruises.
- The Aristocat 2 team have also launched a seagrass restoration initiative, as a response to the 2011 marine heatwave which destroyed 1,000 square kilometres of seagrass, leaving just 3,000 square kilometres. This initiative focuses on restoring these seagrass meadows, vital for the Dugong population.
