Pete explores Whipper Snapper Distillery, the first whiskey distillery in WA to dive a little further into his favourite Sunday comfort liquor.

• Whipper Snapper Distillery is Western Australia's first urban distillery, crafting premium local whiskey since 2014.
• They only use WA grains to make their whiskey, preferring to highlight the origin of the grains and the farmers who make them.
• Whipper Snapper Distillery are not just a distillery, they also do coffee and are known for the best coffee in the local area. They host a range of food and treats to go along with coffee plus cocktails for and tastings throughout the day.
• Being the first whiskey distillery in Perth, they knew it was important to open their doors to the public and show how whiskey is made. Thousands of people have visited their tours over the years, the only such in WA and are highly regarded. They have have a range of experiences, distillery journey tours, in depth whiskey masterclasses and cocktail making classes, all to help people learn more about whiskey while having some fun.
• Whipper Snapper Distillery are a multi-award whiskey distillery, from the business to the distilling team and the many whiskies they make. Last year, their Wheatbelt series Wheat whiskey won world’s best single cask, single grain whiskey at the world whisky awards in London. In March 2023, they won the huge accolade of World’s best corn whisky!
• They are outspoken and proud West Aussies, and the whiskey is made in the spirit of WA. They often tout that their whiskey is designed to be enjoyed across seasons and in good company.
