• The Broadway hit MJ The Musical opened its Perth season at Crown Theatre Perth on 6 June and runs until 19 July 2026.
• The musical is centred on the creation of Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour, giving audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the artist’s creative process.
• The production premiered on Broadway in February 2022 and has since been seen by more than five million people worldwide.
• The show has won multiple major theatre awards, including four Tony Awards and an Olivier Award, with praise for its choreography.
• The book was written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, while direction and choreography are by Tony and Olivier Award winner Christopher Wheeldon.
• The musical features more than 25 Michael Jackson hits, including songs such as “Beat It,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Thriller,” and “Man in the Mirror.”
• Perth is the final stop on the Australian tour after successful seasons in Sydney and Melbourne.
• The Perth production runs for approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, including a 20-minute interval, and is recommended for audiences aged 8 years and over.
