Phil explored the Understory Art & Nature Trail, enjoying its art and forest scenery.

• The Understory Art & Nature Trail is located in Northcliffe, Western Australia, within Northcliffe Forest Park.
• Understory is a unique and immersive experience that awakens your senses, sparks your imagination, and deepens your connection to nature, place, and possibility.
• The trail is a 1.2 km walking circuit.
• It features music, stories, poetry, and more than 70 sculptures created in response to the unique landscapes, people, and histories of the Southern Forests region.
• Artists come from all corners of the globe and include both emerging and established talents.
• Originally called the Southern Forest Sculpture Walk, it opened on 25 November 2006.
• All Understory artists, writers, and musicians spend time in Northcliffe developing artworks that are ‘site-specific’.
• Understory is situated on the land, sea, and rivers of the Bibulmun/Pibelmun people of the Noongar Nation.
