  • The Padbury Community Garden is located in the suburb of Padbury in Perth’s northern metropolitan area.
  • The organisation behind the garden, Padbury Community Garden Inc., was founded in June 2021 by local residents who wanted to create a shared green space for the community.
  • The garden is operated by volunteers as a registered charitable association, recognised by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
  • The first stage of the physical community garden was developed in 2024 to provide a place for gardening, activities, and community programs. The site is set within Gibson Park, near the Community Centre, where the garden group manages and maintains the space with support from the City of Joondalup.
  • One of the main aims of the garden is to reduce isolation and loneliness while promoting mental wellbeing through gardening and social interaction.
  • The garden welcomes people of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds, providing opportunities to learn gardening skills, share knowledge, and connect with others. Community events and workshops. The garden regularly hosts activities such as garden gatherings, workshops, and volunteer days where visitors can meet locals and learn about sustainable gardening.
