- Ningaloo Reef hosts one of the largest populations of migrating humpback whales, making it one of the few places globally where you can legally swim with them, thanks to the Three Islands Humpback Whale Tour.
- Located in Exmouth on Western Australia's Coral Coast, Three Islands Whale Shark Dive is an award-winning marine eco-adventure company. They specialize in whale shark and humpback whale tours through the stunning aquatic wonderland of the Ningaloo Reef.
- The Ningaloo Coast sees the highest density of humpback whales in the Southern Hemisphere during their annual migration from Antarctica (June to November). An estimated 30,000 humpback whales visit the coast during this period on their way to breeding and birthing grounds off the Kimberley.
- The Three Islands Humpback Whale Tour offers a thrilling interaction for adventure enthusiasts and experienced swimmers, allowing them to engage closely with these magnificent ocean mammals.
- The Humpback Whale Swim Tour season begins in August and continues through mid-October. The tour package includes everything you need for an unforgettable experience, such as courtesy bus transfers from your accommodation, delicious gourmet meals, local beverages, complimentary photos from the day, high-quality snorkel gear and wetsuits, an exclusive spotter plane, and a dedicated safety support vessel in the water at all times.
- Upon boarding the 17-meter vessel, which will be your comfortable home base for the day, you will be introduced to the highly qualified crew, who have extensive marine experience. You will be fitted with quality wetsuits and snorkel equipment, and a comprehensive vessel safety briefing will be provided.
- Your journey starts with a cruise through the turquoise Ningaloo Reef lagoon or along the North West Cape to the morning snorkel site near the Cape's tip, where the majestic humpback whales are typically found. During the cruise, you can see iconic sites such as the Navy Pier, Mildura Wreck, Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, and Lighthouse Bay.
- Following your morning snorkel, your spotter plane will locate the first humpback whale of the day. If the staff determines it is safe, swimmers will be allowed to enter the water for an interaction. Humpback whales are known for their curiosity, and they might approach you for a closer look or simply pass by.
