4-hrs south of Perth lies the shire of Plantagenet, a favourite destination for lovers of good food and great adventures.

• The main town in the region is Mt. Barker, a pretty location full of interesting history and friendly locals – it is also the place to find out what’s happening in and around the district.
• The local wineries are a great place to relax, or if you’re looking for adventure there is the nearby Porongurups – one of the worlds biodiversity hotspots.
• The Granite Sky Walk is a 4.4km return hike, and is one of the state’s greatest tourism engineering projects over one of the world’s oldest rock formations.
• There is much to see along the way, and the views at the peak are absolutely amazing.
