The area around Northampton has an incredible range of natural tourist destinations, but with wildflower season coming just once a year, you’ll definitely want to check out the local flora.
- Oakabella Road is an important stop on the drive to Northampton, with a number of beautiful wildflowers just along the side of the track.
- Founded in 1864, Northampton is located around 50kms north of Geraldton, and was originally the hub of the agricultural district in the area, before copper and lead mines were discovered
- Protected by a reef system, Port Gregory is an incredible natural harbour featuring some of Australia’s most picturesque beaches.
- The coastal drive from Port Gregory to Kalbarri has an incredible display of wildflowers, with some truly stunning shrubbery along the way
