Chrissy embarks on a Cocos culinary experience, that does way more than just satisfy your taste buds.
- Every Tuesday at lunchtime, the local high school turns into a demonstration kitchen, with tourists welcome to join the kids with a cooking class with a twist
- Guests are greeted with a traditional drink, while the principal explains the significance of this cultural eating experience
- In this program, you will get to help the students practice their informal English, as well as learn about the culture from the Naneks of home island
- Tourists come into the kitchen and are assigned to a station to help prepare local delicacies.
- The students’ job is to translate for the tourists and for the Naneks.
- It really is a great way to experience the local culture and cuisine
