John Burgess’ top Perth haunts

Everyone knows Baby John Burgess, and today this loveable Perth local takes us on a tour of his three favorite haunts for lunch, dinner, and a drink with mates!

  • For lunch Burggo can’t go past Cott and Co. With their amazing views of Cottesloe Beach and their to die for fish and chips and chilli crab and polenta, combined with a great drop, it’s the perfect way to while away an afternoon.
  • If it’s a relaxed drink with mates that you’re after, Burrgo recommends the Grosvenor Hotel. The Grosvenor is centrally located on Hay street in Perth, has an extensive drinks menu and great food to match.
  • Finally, the dining piece de resistance has got to be Bistro Guillaume. Burggo opened Burswood, as it then was, in the 80’s and has been dining there ever since. Today his favourite dishes at Guillaume are the escargot, the rack of lamb and, of course, the profiteroles with ice-cream and chocolate sauce!
