Two Perth brothers prepare a potential energy source for our state’s future, all with the support of the WA Innovator of the Year Awards.

• Glen and Shawn Ryan are the minds behind the concept and development of a low cost energy collector that has the potential to supply 20% of the state’s power and 10% of energy globally. Harnessing energy through waves.
• The Bombora device has an inherently low cost design, its major construction material being concrete. It also has the important ability of surviving extreme conditions due to its location on the ocean floor and its streamlined shape, as well as the ability to evacuate air circuit for complete shutdown during seas and rouge waves.
• Bombora has so much potential and is but one of many inspirational ideas, from our state, that is becoming reality thanks to the WA Innovator of the Year Award.
