Nikki takes a stroll through Perth Hills Walking Trails, a lovely, peaceful spot for those who love to explore what Perth’s hills have to offer.
- With the start of spring here in WA, there’s nothing better than a nice walk to take in the fresh new season up in the Perth Hills.
- From wildflowers to waterfalls and every bit of bush in between, Perth Hills Hiking Trails are perfect with different trails ranging from fun with the family to difficult hikes for the most adventurous.
- Just 30 minutes east of Perth, John Forrest National Park hosts some of WA’s most beautiful plant and animal life, in an atmosphere like no other.
- The Railway Reserves Heritage Traill stretches for 41 kilometres but there's plenty of option for smaller walks to fit any groups so that everyone can have fun. A great way to get started is with the Trails WA app so you can plan your walk easily and quickly.
- Hovea Falls and National Park are a beautiful place to unwind, with enough trails and rest spots that it can easily be a full day trip. It’s at its best July through October when the rain has done its work so be sure to get there soon before the weather heats up again.
- For something a little more family friendly, the Jane Brook Promenade Trail is a fantastic option. It's a nice short walk with a nature playground close by and the trail itself even features some fun fairy houses for the kids to discover.
- No matter who you are, or who you’re with, John Forrest National Park is a perfect place to check out this spring.
