Chrissy isn’t taking her eye off the skies; it may be Christmas, but it’s also summer, and summer means swimming!
- Bicton Baths can be found on the south western end of Blackwall Reach Parade, this jetty has ample parking, with adjacent park, playground and BBQ facilities. It also has public toilets. The jetty itself is quite big and is great for kids to swim and explore in the confines of the jetty.
- Did you know that Bicton Pool at Reserve has a heated geothermal hydrotherapy pool situated on the banks of the Swan River? it sits right on the river, so that you can cling blissfully to the side of the pool and stare out over the river and the cliffs at Blackwall Reach.
- Formally known as Bicton River Jetty, and Jetty 1248, it is known to the local Aboriginal people, the Whadjuk Noongar people, as Kwoppa Kepa, meaning 'beautiful water' in Noongar.
- The Bicton Jetty and baths. The baths were built in 1926 and are still in use today. The jetty was built in 1916 as a landing stage for the adjacent animal Quarantine Station. After the baths were built, the jetty served both functions, but later relocated the Quarantine Station to Buford in 1983.
