There are many different sporting activities that you can undertake during your stay at Christmas Island, including a round of golf at one of the most beautiful courses in the world.

• The Christmas Island Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-64 layout. It’s bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east and tropical jungle terraces to the west.
• The course is popular with locals and tourists alike. It has 70 members and is looked after by volunteers.
• A lot of people visit the island to participate in the Christmas Island Open, which is held every year in May.
• Red crabs and robber crabs have proven to be a major obstacle on the course, with rules put in place for when they steal your ball.
