- Mary Carroll Park is a large park in the City of Gosnells that just won first place at the annual Parks and Leisure Australia Western Australia Awards. This award recognises the work done transforming a wetland precinct into a culturally integrated park and playground.
- The park includes a playspace that also won the Best Playspace over 1 million dollars Award. This playspace is all abilities inclusive and features ties to Noongar stories and culture in an immersive and nature-based space.
- The Mary Carroll Park also includes accessible toilet facilities, inclusive playspace, recreational parkland, bridges, lookouts and so much more, making it a great destination for all families.
- The park also serves a habitat and breeding space to many spieces of wetland bird, doing its part to integrate the natural world in suburban Perth and strengthening our connections with nature.
- The park will also now be considered for National level awards in Australia which are being held in December.
