There's so much to explore nestled deep within the valley of the Perth Hills. Scherri-Lee escapes the city and reconnects with nature at Araluen.
- Araluen Botanic Park sits on 59 hectares of native forest, it hosts romantic garden weddings, top-class events year-round, and it has one of the world’s most stunning displays of tulips every September.
- Araluen boasts over 3000 roses in bloom, most of these varieties are unavailable in mass anywhere else in WA.
- Kate Gibson is the owner of Hike Collective, a Perth-based hiking adventure company that offers different guided experiences all around the Perth Region – Araluen included.
- The Hike Collective started as a mental health initiative in 2016 to help people reconnect with nature more frequently.
- Now, The Hike Collective runs between 8 to 10 hikes per week across 30 different trail locations within an hour of Perth’s CBD.
- The Hike Collective trail around Araluen is 4.5km, which takes approximately 2hrs to complete.
- Hiking tours around Araluen occur once or twice a month and can be booked online.
